Grilled peaches are the perfect summer treat topped with the creamiest vegan coconut ice cream! Grilling caramelizes the fresh peaches to make them juicy, smoky, and sweet. It takes minutes on a hot grill!

There’s nothing quite like biting into a grilled peach. Fresh peaches are amazing, but once they’re grilled, the sugar caramelizes to make the fruit smoky, sweet, and juicy all in one. I love them in savory recipes, like pizza , but peaches are also great grilled on their own. Topped with vegan coconut ice cream? Swoon. It’s such a simple treat that you can– and should– enjoy all summer long!
Why You’ll Love This Grilled Peaches Recipe
- Perfect for summer. Juicy grilled peaches are delicious year-round, but I especially love them when peaches are in season around here. Sweet caramelized peaches are the best dessert on a balmy summer day. I’ll throw them on the grill after I cook my veggie burgers .
- Quick. After you’ve pitted and halved your peaches, they take minutes to cook on the hot grill. It’s a fast and easy dessert that everyone always gobbles down before asking for seconds.
- Topped with ice cream. I’ve been grilling peaches for a few summers now, and Coconut Bliss is by far my favorite vegan ice cream to serve with them! Grilled peaches and ice cream are a match made in heaven.
I love grilling my favorite fruits in the summer. If you love these grilled peaches with ice cream, try this easy grilled pineapple , too!

Notes on Ingredients
The only ingredient you really need here is peaches! I’ve included some quick recipe notes here. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card for a printable list with recipe details.
- Peaches – Obviously! Choose whichever peaches you like or what’s in season. In the US, you’ll usually find yellow, white, and donut peaches in the spring and summer. Donut peaches tend to be the sweetest.
- Oil – Choose an oil with a high smoke point. My favourites are coconut oil, algal oil, or avocado oil.
- Ice Cream – I love the vegan ice cream from Coconut Bliss (more on this later), and that’s what I use here. Feel free to use your favorite brand or make homemade vegan ice cream .

How to Grill Peaches
Let’s get into it. Grilling stone fruit is great in the summer when the outdoor grill’s preheated, but you can easily grill them indoors on a cast iron grill pan, too. They come out perfect either way!
- Prepare the peaches. Slice and pit the peaches (see below) and brush the peach halves with oil.
- Get them to the grill. Next, place the peach halves cut side down on the hot grill. Let them sear for 4-6 minutes. That’s it!
The Best Way to Pit a Peach for Grilling
To grill a peach, you’ll first want to remove the peach pit. There are lots of videos online that show how to do it if you need a visual. Here’s my quick method:
- Cut the peach in half along the seam down to the pit, and twist it apart (same as you would an avocado).
- Use your fingers or a knife to gently wiggle the pit loose. It should pop right out!

Recipe Tips
- Choose the best peaches for grilling. Choose peaches that are firm, just ripe, or even slightly underripe. Overripe, older peaches aren’t great candidates for grilling since they tend to be mushy. Use a sharp knife to cut your peaches for clean, smooth edges.
- Sweeten things up. For a little extra sweetness, brush the peaches with maple syrup as they come off the grill.
- Check for doneness. Your peaches are done when they soften and start to show grill marks. If you’d like, rotate the peaches 90º to crisscross the grill marks.
- Don’t burn the peaches. Sometimes, the grill marks make it seem like the peaches are burning when it’s just the sugars caramelizing. Just make sure to check them often so that they don’t actually burn.

Make Grilled Peaches and Ice Cream
The best way to enjoy freshly grilled peaches is to top them with a scoop of ice cream! I buy the vegan tubs from Coconut Bliss Ice Cream . Their ice cream is so creamy! It’s absolutely delicious, organic, and they have the best flavours. You can choose from over a dozen, and I love their approach to creating such a sustainable product, too. I went with Infinite Coconut for my topping my peaches, as an ode to tropical Jamaica.
It’s a delight to be partnering with Coconut Bliss on this blog post for their rebranding. Not only was I already in love with their ice cream, but their rebrand is absolutely stunning!
More Serving Suggestions
I like to sprinkle my grilled peaches and ice cream with cinnamon and add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. They’re a light and easy dessert to serve after a meal of vegan pulled pork sandwiches and grilled vegetables . For a real taste of the tropics, wash down dinner with a pineapple coconut rum cocktail , or embrace your inner Georgia Peach with a glass of Southern sweet tea !

Storing and Reheating Leftovers
- Refrigerate. Grilled peaches are best served fresh, but if you have leftovers you can store them airtight in the fridge for a few days. They’re great chopped-up cold over salad!
- Reheat. I like to zap the peaches in the microwave to warm them up again before serving them with a fresh scoop of ice cream.

What is granita made of?

First things first, granita is an Italia-style flavoured ice. Think, a fancy version of the shaved ice you used to eat as a child. This granita is like a grown up version that still tastes absolutely amazing, except without the pounds of syrup on ice. It is so incredibly refreshing, a real cooler-down in this crazy summer heat and perfect for pretty much every occasion.

How long does strawberry granita last in freezer?

Ingredients
- 4 cups 1lb Strawberries, stems removed and chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
Instructions
- Blend the strawberries, lime juice and maple syrup/agave nectar together in a blender or food processor.
- Pour the mixture into a square 8×8 container of a 5 x 9 loaf pan. Spread it across the container and allows to freeze for at least four hours, preferably overnight. When the mixture has set, use a fork to scrape it gently to form a shaved ice texture.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
